Getting a job by showing Google Ads to recruiters

Hello!

I currently have 2 clients in the country I am currently residing, but would love to get something more set-in-stone in some growing company in the EU. As an EU national, this shouldn’t be a problem.

However, there are some hurdles in my applications. I am very much younger than your average applicant and I am doing a part-time degree through a top 20 British university (remote). My biggest barriers are recruiters who don’t have any SEO/PPC/SMM knowledge and I can’t really prove my skills to them in the interviews.

So I was thinking of setting up a personal and static website with an out-of-ordinary designm, and advertising it, on an attempt to target recruiters. The website would come free to me (free .me domain for 1 year due to GitHub Student Pack, WordPress Development + Static convertor and Github Pages for hosting).

I was thinking of targeting recruiters living in the country I want to work in (the UK) and then setting up remarketing campaigns for those who stayed longer than X seconds.

I tried researching about this but didn’t find many case studies. I feel like I’d stand out and the costs likely wouldn’t be that high (on a CPC basis).

What do you guys think?

Pricing a freelance graphic design for an aftermarket auto/boat product

I have a client looking to price a graphic design project for a cardboard insert that will go inside a clear plastic clamshell-type carton (dimensions unknown at this time). It’s for an aftermarket marine/boat light. I have never designed a piece like this, but feel confident I can design it. However, I know nothing about package design and I’m not sure how to price this/how much to charge. I also have to come up with a name for the product.

Any package designers out there, or graphic designers experienced in this type of work that could provide input? Thanks!

Pinterest Ads worth it?

I do a simple living/minimalist blog and focus my social media on Pinterest I get 1M views and 10k traffic from Pintrest alone all organic not paid. For traffic it’s great and has been my main focus, but was thinking of trying some Pintrest ads to drive sales of ebooks.

Two main ways I make revenue are ad impressions and ebook sales.

Profit margins on ebooks are very high approaching 100%, products cost $20-$50

Anyone have any experience or insights? Is there someone or a website that has good information on Pintrest Ads
